Home buyers are flocking to the real estate market by the thousands to make their retirement and winter homes a reality. Unfortunately for many, the inventory of homes has struggled to keep up with demand!
According to the National Association of Realtors (NAR), the inventory of homes for sale dropped 7.1% year-over-year to a 4.3-month supply and is down for the 25th consecutive month. In Southern Arizona last month, the average time on market was just 39 days, the lowest in 10 years!
If you currently own a condo, villa or town home and looking to move into something larger, considering other Green Valley neighborhoods, or want to relocate out of the area to be closer to kids and grand kids, now is a great time to sell.
Because of tight inventory, buyers are looking now in hopes of securing their own Green Valley winter retreat. Prices under $200,000 are particularly attractive to buyers right now!
Or, if you are thinking of moving up from a winter home to a full-time retirement home, or plan to spend more time in Green Valley and want room to spread out, there is more inventory available in larger and detached homes here, and you may even get a great deal on a home that has been on the market for a while.
Your home is an oasis to buyers who are searching for homes in today’s market. Don’t wait until the competition heats up and there are more sellers than buyers!
